Safe Work Australia has announced the winners of the 5th Annual Safe Work Australia Awards.

The Awards, presented at Parliament House, Canberra, on 28 April 2010, acknowledge excellence in work health and safety and recognise organisations and individuals who demonstrate leadership and innovation in their workplace.

Safe Work Australia would like to congratulate all the winners for their outstanding efforts in work health and safety and for making it a top priority in their workplace.

A winner is awarded in both of the following sub-categories:
a. An employee, such as a health and safety representative, who does not have formal responsibility for OHS management as part of their duties

b. An outstanding contribution by an OHS manager or a person with responsibility for OHS as part of their duties.
