Safe Work Week Announces 60 Free Information Sessions
Safe Work Week 2011 has announced it will have more than 60 free information sessions, tailored to meet the needs of OH&S industries.
Topics range from cyber bullying and safety culture, to conveyor safety and risk management, with a large number of sessions to assists people to understand the new model Work Health and Safety (WHS) laws starting in 2012, according to Safe Work.
Sessions include:
• Official opening by the Minister for Industrial Relations, followed by a Mock OHS Dispute.
• Bariatric Care in Acute/Clinical Nursing and Allied Health Environments.
• WHS Laws are Changing – for Good. So what does it mean for HSRs?
• Hypothetical: Managing Teams in Trouble.
• Myth Buster: Is Manual Task Technique Training all it’s cracked up to be?
• Mock Industrial Court Trial at the Space Theatre.
Safe Work Week is held on the 24 to 28 October, it is South Australia’s annual programme of occupational health, safety and welfare (OHS) related events.
